BSNL Tariff Hike Not Live Yet, Subscribers Can Still Get These Recharges to Save Money

BSNL subscribers have a few days until the tariff hike and they can go ahead and recharge with long term prepaid plans to enjoy the benefits for extended periods

Highlights
  • All the other telcos have announced tariff hike
  • BSNL is the only telco which has not put out any information yet
  • The telco is expected to hike tariffs, albeit a little late

The telecom industry right now is swirling with the news about tariff hike left, right and centre. All the major telecom operators have announced the price hike of their prepaid plans. The first move was made by Vodafone Idea by hiking its tariffs by 40% and the second move came from Bharti Airtel which also made a similar move. Reliance Jio followed on the same line but has not yet issued any information about the pricing of its plans, but only some small hints about what the people can expect. Now that leaves out the state-led telecom operator, Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL). In the case of BSNL, however, the telecom operator has also announced that it is going to hike its tariffs similar to all the other telecom operators. But, until now there has been no news about when the telco is going to make this move or about the quantum of changes. This only means that the subscribers still have time to recharge their BSNL numbers with long-term recharges so that they can avoid the effects of the new data tariff hike for at least three months or more. Here are some plans that the BSNL subscribers can consider.

In case you loss your mobile/sim , when you apply for new sim for same number you not get your previous activated plan, so Hold your baby tightly till next 2 yrs.
btw smart move, if i had cash i also did same.

Just to clear confusion if someone reads your comment : Getting a replacement SIM will not change any of the plans or services activated on the number. It’s just a chip change with another SIM Number and nothing else. Users will get the same plans/services and benefits even after SIM replacement on the same number.

I’m 100% sure. This is a strange incident I’ve heard. How recent is the incident? Either the person who issued you a new SIM had messed something or there are chances of a rare technical glitch. But next time, if something like this happens make sure you drop an email and get the reply over email.

Does IUC recharge ( Rs10) only work on unlimited plans or we can recharge it standalone to use offnet calls and 1gb data ?

You can’t use balance for anything on standalone status of Jio. This is what the most irritating thing.

it works only if u have any base plan..else jio sim is just a plastic card…whatever talktime you have ,its just talk time ..but one cannot use that talktime without base plan
