Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) has been offering AirFiber plans for several years. The state-run telco has been offering this service much before Reliance Jio and Bharti Airtel launched their 5G FWA (Fixed-Wireless Access) service. BSNL's AirFiber is present in all parts of the country and was launched for areas where fiber deployment was difficult for the company. There are only three plans under the service that you can purchase. These plans are meant to offer high-speed broadband connectivity with plenty of FUP (fair usage policy) data to the customer.

BSNL's Rs 499 plan is the cheapest AirFiber plan available. The speed bundled with this plan is 30 Mbps along with 3.3TB FUP data. Users can get a third-party landline instrument and BSNL will connect it for them with unlimited calling with this plan. The speed drops to 2 Mbps after the consumption of FUP data.
There are two more plans. They cost Rs 699 and Rs 899 per month. Note that the prices here don't include taxes. With these plans, users get 40 Mbps and 50 Mbps of speed. The other benefits remain the same. One not-so-significant difference between these plans is that post the consumption of FUP data, the speed drops to 4 Mbps for the Rs 699 plan while it is 6 Mbps for the Rs 899 plan.

Thus, at the end of the day, the kind of plan that you choose will depend only on the speed that you need. The base plan offers 30 Mbps speed and the highest speed plan offers 50 Mbps of speed. BSNL doesn't offer higher-speed plans like the private telcos. Even Airtel doesn't offer anything beyond 100 Mbps in the AirFiber department. However, with Jio's plans, users get way more options. The only thing lacking with BSNL's plans are the OTT (over-the-top) benefits.
