Bharti Airtel Intros Rs 193 Prepaid Data Add-On That Gives 1GB Data Per Day On Top of Existing Unlimited Combo Plan

Leading telecom operator, Bharti Airtel has given a fitting reply to Reliance Jio with an excellent move. Instead of launching a new tariff plan, Airtel has come up with a data add-on pack for its prepaid subscribers, which every Airtel prepaid customer can recharge on top of the unlimited combo plans under Airtel Prepaid Promise scheme. Sounds confusing, right? Well, Airtel just introduced a Rs 193 prepaid data add-on pack that offers 1GB data per day.

Airtel Rs 199 Unlimited Combo Plan

So, here's how it works- If you're on any Airtel unlimited combo pack and not satisfied with the data offer on that pack, this new data add-on comes into play. Let's look into this with an example. Suppose, you're on Airtel's Rs 349 unlimited combo plan that gives 2GB data per day, unlimited voice calls, and 100 SMS per day for 28 days. If you recharge the newly introduced the Rs 193 data add-on pack, your daily data offer will be increased to 3GB per day. And the best part is the data add-on pack comes with validity equal to the unlimited pack. In the above example, the Rs 349 plan is valid for 28 days; so the data add-on pack will also be valid for 28 days.

Let's consider one more example with a long-validity pack. Recently, Airtel revised the Rs 509 open market tariff plan and is offering 1GB data per day, unlimited voice calls and 100 SMS per day for 91 days from the earlier 84 days. So, if you recharge the Rs 509 plan and Rs 193 data add-on at once, you will get 2GB data per day for 91 days. However, the total cost will be Rs 702 (Rs 509+Rs 193).

Reliance Jio also has such data add-ons ranging from Rs 11 to Rs 301, but none of them offers 1GB data per day. This is one of the best implementation from Airtel this year, and this move will undoubtedly match it up with Reliance Jio.

At the moment, this is available in only some circles such as Punjab, and it's an open market plan too. We're hoping that Airtel makes this plan available on a pan-India basis at the earliest so that customers can enjoy additional data benefit at just Rs 193.

Also, we're not sure whether this new data add-on pack is valid on Airtel's premium prepaid plans such as Rs 999, Rs 1,999, and Rs 3,999. If it's valid for these plans too, then it's a great deal from the leading telecom operator.
