Old customers who were on different plans were intimated about tariff changes by a similar margin. Here is the intimation received by customers on B-Max 660.

Beam Fiber is probably the only operator in the country whose rates have influenced other major ISPs to match the plans. The hike is minimal given the industry trend of tariff hikes by at least 10% (BSNL) and Airtel hiked by up to 40%.

So many people dying for good Internet, why does beam not expand to whole India? Are they underestimating the demand for Internet in other tier 2 cities? Come on man, there are still no 1 mbps unlimited plans in these cities. I’m stuck on 240p @ 512kbps ;/

Am paying 1200 rupees per month for 15 Mbps plan with 40GB FUP, Hathway B’lore. Speed post FUP is 512 kbps & it’s not fiber-to-the-home. Hathway priced Highly against Beam tariffs.

Everything depends upon the government. I remember Wi5 starting a 1Mbps unlimited No FUP plan @999 in chennai, 5-6 years back but pulled that plan out because of the pressure from public sector a.k.a bsnl (the information was told by the employee, else I wouldn’t have come to know about that). 6 years later, still I’m stuck with 1mbps upto 6gb 512kbps beyond @950. Pathetic!

If we are suffering poor internet speed, it’s not because of these private ISPs, but the government.

Wrong. It’s because of private ISPs. Thay give their fixed amount of $$ yearly to corrupt government officials and in return Bsnl, although having the infrastructure, does not increase their quality but giving better plans. Because they are PAID by these failtel and others. Hope this comment is not deleted.

Even after hikes in the price, the rates are still below of the price of BSNL.If they start their network in kerala, the bsnl will get done closed shortly.Because of this BB the bsnl is sustaining.

Beam rocks. It would be very good if they do their network expansion across AP asap.Already local ISP’s started to give tough fight to bsnl in tier-2 towns.
