According to the latest leak online, a new device from Asus has come to light. After the Taiwanese smartphone company last released its Zenfone Pegasus 3 in mid-2016, the rumoured smartphone might be the next smartphone to join the Pegasus series family, named the Zenfone Pegasus 4A.
Some of the pricing details and specifications of the new device by Asus had been tipped today. The Pegasus 4A is rumoured to have a price tag of around 1,800 CNY (USD 263 or approximately Rs. 16,975), which seems to be a little far-fetched with the leaks suggesting a mid-range spec sheet.
Since what surfaced online is just press renders and given some poorly edited details in one of the pictures, the legitimacy of this leak is up for speculation. What grabs our attention at first glance is the smartphone’s dual-camera setup and its look in general, which has an uncanny resemblance to devices from a certain company named after a fruit meant to keep the doctor away. Yes, the Zenfone Pegasus 4A is yet another mid-range iPhone lookalike.
If the specs are believed to be true, we can expect a 13-megapixel and 8-megapixel dual-camera setup with a LED flash and a 5-megapixel front facing camera for selfies and video calls. The Zenfone Pegasus 4A might come with a MediaTek MT6737V processor paired with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage, further expandable via a microSD card. The device is expected to run on Android 7.0 Nougat and tote a 4,100 mAh battery which can be charged through the smartphone’s micro USB port.
The Pegasus 4A sports a 5-inch display with HD resolution. The handset also has a home button below the screen which will most likely double as a fingerprint sensor. There is no clear information on its official launch date and whether the phone will be released outside of China.
