Asus Zenfone Max Pro M2 Gets EIS Support for Front-Facing Camera With New Update

Very similar to OnePlus and Nokia, there's another smartphone brand that is committed to offering regular software updates, and in turn, deliver a seamless and enhanced user experience to its customers. Asus launched two new phones called the Zenfone Max Pro M2 and Zenfone Max M2 not so long ago. And in just a few days time Asus started pushing out software updates to these phones in order to improve the user experience. The new update is here. Asus has announced that the company is upgrading the Zenfone Max Pro M2 and Zenfone Max M2 to new FOTA version 15.2016.1812.145 and FOTA version 15.2016.1812.179 respectively. Announcing the rollout of the new software update Asus noted, "We are constantly working towards ensuring improved performance on all Asus smartphones. Here is the new FOTA update note for the Asus Zenfone Max Pro M2 and Asus Zenfone Max M2."

New Update Brings EIS Support for Front-Facing Camera

With the new FOTA version 15.2016.1812.145 update, the Zenfone Max M2 users in India will get a range of few features along with improvements and also the latest Android security update. With the FOTA version 15.2016.1812.145 update, the Zenfone Max M2 get the latest Google Android security patch for December 2018. It also improves the functioning of the fingerprint sensor, optimises the camera performance and so on. One of the other key features that the update is bringing to the Zenfone Max M2 is EIS support to the front camera.

On the other hand, the Zenfone Max Pro M2 gets updated to the new FOTA version 15.2016.1812.179 and it also brings several features in order to enhance the overall user experience. The FOTA version 15.2016.1812.179 also brings the latest Android security patch for December 2018 to the Zenfone Max Pro M2 users. The update further optimises the Camera Interface, upgrades Touch Screen FW, optimises text translation, and enhances noise reduction on FM Radio.

Asus Zenfone Max Pro M2 and Zenfone Max M2: Specs and Price

The Asus Zenfone Max Pro M1 and Zenfone Max M1 were very successful phone and stood well against the Redmi Note 5 Pro and the Redmi 5. Asus just launched the Zenfone Max Pro M2 and Zenfone M2 in India. The Zenfone Max Pro M2 retails for starting price tag of Rs 12,999. The Asus Zenfone Max M2 starts at Rs 9,999.

As for the specs, the Zenfone Max Pro M2 comes with 6.28-inch IPS LCD display with 720 x 1520 pixels resolution and an aspect ratio of 19:9. The Zenfone Max Pro M2 packs a 6.3-inch IPS LCD display with a resolution of 2280 x 1920 pixels. On the hardware, the Zenfone Max M2 is powered by a Snapdragon 632 processor paired with up to 4GB RAM and 64GB of inbuilt storage. While the Zenfone Max Pro M2 is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 processor paired with up to 4Gb RAM and 64GB of internal storage.
