Asus Zenfone Max Pro M1 Android 9 Pie Update

To recall, the Asus Zenfone Max Pro M1 was launched back in April this year. It was only in October when the company officials confirmed that the Asus Zenfone Max Pro M1 would receive the Android 9 Pie update. However, two months back Asus did not confirm a timeline for the rollout of the Android 9 Pie update for its budget segment phone. Keeping all that side, finally, Asus Zenfone Max Pro M1 users have a reason to rejoice as a company representative has announced that the phone will receive the Android 9.0 Pie update in February 2019.

A customer who dialled up Asus customer service number informed about the coming of the Android 9 Pie on the Asus Zenfone Max Pro M1. As per the company representative, the phone is slated to receive the Android 9 Pie update sometime in February next year. Another big release by Asus this year was the Asus Zenfone 5Z, which is a high-performing midrange phone by the company. The sales rep also informed that the Asus Zenfone 5Z is also scheduled to receive the Android 9 Pie update in January next year. Since the highly priced Zenfone 5Z will receive the latest Android update in January, it makes sense that the Asus Zenfone Max Pro M1 will receive the update in February 2019. Given that Samsung will also be rolling out the latest Android update to its users in January, the timeline of rollout which Asus has charted out for its phones seems to be appropriate.

Asus Zenfone Max Pro M2 Awaiting Launch

To top up the success of the Asus Zenfone Max Pro M1, Asus has announced the Asus Zenfone Max Pro M2. This phone also comes with a similar price tag and selective improvements to get the interested buyers an impressive deal in the budget segment. The company has also released the product page on Flipkart, and the phone will be launched tomorrow, i.e. on December 11.

The Asus Zenfone Max Pro M2 is expected to ship large value for money like it was the case with the Asus Zenfone Max Pro M1. The device sports a 6.3-inch full HD+ display with a notched display which comes protected by the Gorilla Glass 6. The processor is a better performer than the previous Max Pro M1. However, it is a SoC from the Snapdragon 600 series only. The RAM and the 5000mAh battery remain the same as the predecessor. Overall, the new Asus Zenfone Max Pro M2 will offer better performance, same battery size and is likely to come with a slightly higher price tag.
