Asus Starts Seeding November Security Patch Update to Zenfone Max M2

Asus India’s latest budget offering Asus Zenfone Max M2 has started receiving the latest November Security Patch. The phone which was recently launched in India is selling by the masses because of its very affordable pricing and the attractive specifications. The new update which brings the November Security Patch is being rolled out to the users since December 21 by firmware over the air method. By getting the November security patch, this phone by Asus becomes the second in the entire line-up to get this security patch after the Asus Zenfone Max Pro M1. However, the Asus Zenfone Max Pro M1 update also brings some bug fixes onto the phone, which is not the case with the update for the Asus Zenfone Max M2.

Security Patch for Zenfone Max M2

Like it is the case with all over the air (OTA) updates, Asus has informed that the November security patch update for Asus Zenfone Max M2 will reach the phone on its own and it will be rolled out in batches. In case you are an Asus Zenfone Max M2 users, and you have not received the update yet, then head over to Settings > About > System Update. You will see if the update is available for installation, if yes, then proceed with the installation.

To recall, Asus had launched the new Asus Zenfone Max M2 back in early December for Rs 9,999, for 3GB RAM and 32GB storage variant and with a price tag of Rs 11,999 for the 4GB RAM 64GB storage variant. It is also worth noting that the Asus Zenfone Max M2 currently boots the Android 8.1 Oreo, which is slated to be bumped up to Android 9 Pie in January next year. Other phones by Asus like the Asus Zenfone Max Pro M2 and the Zenfone 5Z will also be updated to Android 9 Pie in January next year.

Asus ZenFone Max M2: Specifications and Features

The Asus Zenfone Max M2 is the latest budget offering from Asus, and it features a 6.26-inch HD+ display on a 19:9 aspect ratio screen. Under the hood, the phone runs on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 632 SoC, paired with 4GB of RAM. The dual rear camera setup on the phone consists of a 13MP sensor which comes with f/1.8 aperture and a 2MP secondary sensor. On the front, there is an 8MP selfie camera with a selfie flash. One of the main highlights of the Asus Zenfone Max M2 is the massive 4,000mAh battery. The phone also comes with a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor, headphone jack, and a Micro-USB port. Additionally, the Zenfone Max M2 offers the flexibility of using a dedicated microSD card. The available colour options of the device include Black and Blue.
