Apple Watch Series 3 Cellular Variant Up for Pre-Registration via Airtel

The Apple Watch 3 Series 3 Cellular variant, which was introduced by top telecom operators Airtel and Reliance Jio last month is now up for pre-registration in the country. While Jio has started taking pre-orders for the device, Airtel has opened pre-registration for the same. Users looking to get the Cellular variant of the Apple Watch Series 3 through Reliance Jio have to pay the amount now, and the device will ship on May 11. On the other hand, Airtel users can pre-register the device to get early access to complete the purchase till May 11, 12 PM. The 42mm version of the Cellular variant is priced at Rs 41,120, and the 38mm version will be available for Rs 39,080. These prices are listed on Jio's website.

The smartwatch will be available in six different colour options- Silver Aluminium Case with Fog Sport Band, Space Gray Aluminium Case with Black Sport Band, Gold Aluminium Case with Pink Sand Sport Band, Silver Aluminium Case with Seashell Sport Loop, Gold Aluminium Case with Pink Sand Sport Loop and Space Gray Aluminium Case with Gray Sport Band. As per sources the final proposition (if any) will be revealed on May 11.

To pre-register on Airtel Online Store, head over to airtel.in and select ‘Register Now’ option from the home page. Then you're required to enter your name, mobile number, email address and Pincode of the delivery address. On the sale day, Airtel will send an exclusive invite to complete the purchase. Most likely, the prices of the Apple Watch Series 3 will also be same on Airtel Online Store. Reliance Jio also listed the Apple Watch Nike+ 42mm and 38mm variants, Apple Watch Edition 42mm and 38mm variants, alongside the Apple Watch Series 3 Cellular variant. Both the Nike+ and Apple Watch Editions will also be available in Cellular, GPS variants.

Reliance Jio announced an attractive service named JioEverywhereConnect, allowing the buyers to use a single SIM card in both the Apple Watch and their iPhone at no additional cost. On the other hand, Airtel postpaid customers on any Airtel My Plan or Infinity Plan can get connected to the Apple Watch Series 3 absolutely free of cost with their existing plan. This move from Airtel will also push users to join the postpaid network.

The Apple Watch Series 3 (GPS + Cellular) version comes with an electronic SIM which will be linked with customer's existing Jio or Airtel number. The Apple iPhones compatible with the Apple Watch Series 3 are iPhone SE, 6/6 Plus, 6s/6s Plus, 7/7 Plus, 8/8 Plus and the iPhone X. The phones will need to be upgraded to iOS version 11.3 or above.
