Apple has now started rolling out the Hypertension feature for users in India. This new feature was introduced earlier this year with the Watch Series 11 and Watch Ultra 3. Starting this week, users who have an Apple Watch Series 9 or later or Watch Ultra 2/3 will be able to take advantage of this feature. Apple's focus on health features has grown over the years, and the Apple Watch is at the epicenter of it all. Hypertension tracking is an important tool, especially for Indians who often don't understand that they are suffering from chronic high blood pressure. With the help of the Apple Watch, Indian users will now be able to get early notification of hypertension and then be able to take the precautions to keep their health safe.

Apple Watch Hypertension Feature
Apple Watch doesn't ask users to do anythin extra to track hypertension. The Apple Watch just takes note of the heart rate over a 30 day period and then studies how the blood vessels of the users are reacting to each of the heartbeat. Then the watch compares the data from the patterns consistent with hypertension.

If there's a risk, then the Apple Watch will notify the user. This is a particularly useful tool for the Indian society of today, which is fast-paced and often dwells in high tension scenarios. Note that this feature is not available for people aged under 22, likely for regulatory reasons. Also, it won't be available for women who are pregnant, and people who are already diagnosed with hypertension.
With a massive user base in India, Apple will be able to test out this feature accurately and this would also end up benefitting millions of Indians potentially.
