The rumour mill has been busy these days churning out news about what the next iPhone siblings will bring to the table and their announcement date. Apple has just started sending out invites for a September 9 event to be held in California the iPhone 6S and the iPhone 6S Plus are expected to be announced.
The iPhone siblings are expected to get Force Touch technology in their upcoming iteration which lets you customise your usage based upon the force you press the display with. There will also be an upgrade as far as the RAM is concerned. These devices are supposed to feature 2GB of RAM instead of the current 1GB of RAM.
The smartphones will be powered by the Apple A9 chipset, and will get an upgraded camera which would be the biggest upgrade since the iPhone 5. The next generation iPhones will reportedly feature a 12-megapixel camera at the back, which will now come with support for 4K video recording. The front-facing camera will get a significant upgrade too in terms of the sensor, and will now get coupled with an LED flash.
The iPhone 6S and 6S Plus are expected to support faster LTE speeds. Post their launch on September 9, they'll go on sale on September 18 in the US, which will be followed by a global rollout. The event is also expected to play host to the launch of the public version of iOS 9 and Mac OS X El Capitan alongside Watch OS 2. Apple is also rumoured to announced an iPhone 6C or a low-cost variant of the smartphone at the event.
The launch would bring some attractive offers for the current iPhone duo along with it. The Apple iPhone 6S would probably have a starting price tag of around Rs. 55,000, while the Apple iPhone 6S Plus might have a starting price tag of around Rs 64,000.
