Around 54% of the users have already updated to iOS 10, according to Apple. It is only less than a month since the release of iOS 10. In the app distribution data released on app store page of Apple, the company has also revealed that around 38% of the iOS users are still carrying Apple devices with iOS 9 operating system and around 8% are running the earlier versions of iOS.
In the first three days of the release, iOS 10 already reached 22.31% of iOS devices. According to third party tracking websites, there is a higher adoption rate for iOS 10. To say, iOS 10 is said to be downloaded on 68.2% of the devices, as per the data by Fiksu. Another analytics firm Mixpanel said that the new Apple iOS has reached around 65% of the devices within a month of its release.
Whatsoever, Apple iOS 9 had reported a better adoption rate. If to recap the data, iOS 9 reached 50% of the devices in three days of its release. It was downloaded by more users than any other software release in Apple's history.
Apple iOS 10 brings a wide range of improvement in its features ranging from iMessage, Music, notification design, photos app, etc. Apple iOS 10 also reported a security leak in its local password-protected iTunes backups. Apple promised the solution for the leak to appear in the upcoming update of iOS 10.
