The Nokia X6 which was initially released in China was rebranded as the Nokia 6.1 Plus and launched in India recently. The phone boots Android 8.1 Oreo out of the box and it comes with a stock Android experience along with an Android One certification which gives it the eligibility to receive the latest security patches and timely updates. Nokia with its range of Android One phones has gained quite a reputation for pushing very timely updates for its phone. However, the Android 9 Pie is already here, and Nokia phone users are awaiting the launch of the latest Android version for their devices. October 26 marked the end of the beta testing phase for Android 9 Pie for Nokia 6.1 Plus users. As such, the stable release of Android 9 Pie shouldn’t be much more of a wait for Nokia 6.1 Plus owners.

Android 9 Pie Beta Testing for Nokia 6.1 Concludes
To recall, the beta testing of Android 9 Pie for Nokia 6.1 Plus began on October 10, and with 15 days being completed, the testing was concluded just a few days ago on October 26. In the beta testing period, HMD Global collected reviews and data from the beta testers to tweak the software more to the liking of the people and to remove bugs. With the beta testing already completed, we suppose that the stable release of the Android 9 Pie for many Nokia phones should be right around the corner. Moreover, HMD Global has already announced that it plans to upgrade many Nokia phones to the latest Android 9 Pie before the end of this year.
Users of Nokia 6.1 Plus won’t have to wait long for the stable release of the Android 9 Pie update which will be pushed to the users via the OTA method. In case you would like to keep a closer look at the ongoing about the update we recommend that you follow the official Nokia-related account on Twitter. To recall, HMD promised that it would release the update in October itself, so expect it to be rolled out today or tomorrow.
