Airtel Xstream Box is the latest launch from Bharti Airtel to take on the upcoming smart Set-Top Box from Reliance Jio. Airtel Xstream Box is an Android TV-based Set-Top Box from the company that brings both Satellite TV and OTT content together. If this sounds familiar, Airtel Internet TV also offered similar functionalities, but it's now succeeded by Airtel Xstream Box. The all-new Set-Top Box from Airtel Digital TV has 4K support and ships with popular OTT apps like Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, ZEE5, YouTube and so on. Additionally, the Airtel Xstream Box also comes with Airtel Xstream app which offers more than 350 Live TV channels and OTT content from services like ALT Balaji, ZEE5, HOOQ, VOOT, Hungama Play and so on. The Airtel Xstream Box is available for a maximum retail price of Rs 3,999, but existing Airtel Digital TV users can upgrade to it by paying Rs 2,249. What does the Airtel Xstream Box offer to customers and what are the specifications? Let's find out.

Airtel Xstream Box Combines Satellite TV and OTT Content into One

One of the significant advantages for Airtel Xstream Box is the combination of Satellite TV and OTT content. The 4K Set-Top Box from Airtel seamlessly brings Satellite TV and OTT content together onto the TV screen, making any regular TV a smart TV. If that sounds again familiar, well, the upcoming Reliance Jio smart Set-Top Box is also expected to function pretty identically to the Airtel Xstream Box. And the best part is the Satellite TV and OTT content can be controlled via a single remote that's voice-enabled with Google Assistant.

So what if it's raining at your place and you want to watch Live TV and Satellite TV doesn't work? Well, Airtel Xstream Box got you covered in that aspect as well. The box comes pre-installed with Airtel Xstream app, which is the company's OTT content app offering more than 350 Live TV channels and 10,000 plus movies & shows. Additionally, you can watch the OTT content from Netflix, Amazon Prime, ZEE5, YouTube and so on through your wired-broadband connection. Do make a note that separate subscriptions are required for the OTT apps. If you an Airtel Thanks Platinum tier user, then the company got you covered in that aspect as well. Airtel Thanks postpaid and broadband users can avail three months of Netflix subscription, one-year of Amazon Prime membership and premium ZEE5 membership at no extra cost.
