Bharti Airtel to Deliver V-Fiber Broadband Services in 10 More Cities

Bharti Airtel has recently launched its V-Fiber broadband services in few cities in India. At the time of its inception in October 2016, Airtel claimed that the services would be rolled out in 87 major cities in the country.

The service is currently available in the eight cities of Chennai, Mumbai, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Pune, Ahmedabad, Bhopal, and Indore. The company will soon expand the V-Fiber portfolio to 10 more cities, including Kolkata, Jaipur, Chandigarh, Raipur, Lucknow, Noida, Gurgaon, Delhi, Ghaziabad, and Faridabad.

Airtel V-Fiber works on the combination of Fiber technology and Vectorization and delivers data speeds up to 100 Mbps. This European technology is claimed to be ‘green’. Notably, the company is the first operator in India to use the Vectorization concept.

Airtel is currently on the mission to bring the new service to almost every city in India. To get a new Airtel V-Fiber connection, users have to upgrade to a new modem, which is priced at Rs. 1000. Other than the said requirement, no other installation, drilling, or wiring, is required.

If the customer is already using Airtel broadband connection, he/she can enjoy the super-fast V-Fiber internet without any increase in monthly rental.

Customers can also make unlimited voice calls (Local + STD) with the Airtel V-Fiber connection. Airtel is also running a ‘Welcome Offer’ that offers existing customers upgraded to V-Fiber without any increase in monthly rental and for new users Airtel is offering superfast internet with unlimited free calls.

They don’t upgrade service instead after requesting to upgrade u’ll suffer. The previous plan stops working and they will not revert back for ur complain. They have worst service. I regret choosing Airtel.

Main home of v fiber says free upgrade but when you click on upgrading our DSL account to v-fiber, you are welcome with the line that says get free upgrade and then below that it says 1000 Rs will be charged as one time installation charge. I just dont understand how airtel can be so dumb to claim that as free upgrade and then below that itself telling about one time charge.

Right now we dont have any other option so stuck with airtel but the day any other service providers comes Im going to kick them off.

Can someone please give me an honest review of Airtel v+fiber please. I am an Airtel broadband user from Kolkata and would like to consider v-fiber when it comes to the city. One more request, I’d request the Airtel bashers not bother replying to my query. Give me your opinion only if you have used v-fiber. What kind of speeds are you getting on download and upload? What are the ping rates like?

I’m a user of Airtel v-fiber, in my area they provide speeds upto 16mbps on v-fiber some of my friends in other localities are getting 40mbps but not more than that. Ping on speed test is 5-8ms. In counter strike global offensive online I get a ping of 25-50(Indian servers). The service is as usual no issues. People say they experience bad service from Airtel like frequent disconnection, speed throttle etc, but I never experienced any issue.

P.S. I’m from Gurgaon and I’m using Airtel from 2002.

In reality its a Paper tiger.
Though they say 100 mbbs on approch they always say only 40 mbbs is possible.(i checked it on multiple locations is Chennai).
Also after giving connection Support personal says only 16 mbbs.
Just an eye wash except the recent Cyclone related trouble ACT is the best if it’s available in your area.Hatway Just restarted Internet services after nearly a decade.
But airtel is good only upto you tube, and browsing.upload bandwidth is severely limited.
ACT offering 1/1 ratio.
Let’s see what jiofiber is upto.

Wake up airtel. You are not able to cater V-Fiber in launched cities and trying to launch in some places. LOL.

Seriously.. Airtel launched vfiber in Bengaluru in early Jan. I don’t see vfiber feasibility in 5km radius around my area. You are not able to peovide service in Bengaluru but want to launch in other cities. What a joke..
