Bharti Airtel has recently launched its V-Fiber broadband services in few cities in India. At the time of its inception in October 2016, Airtel claimed that the services would be rolled out in 87 major cities in the country.
The service is currently available in the eight cities of Chennai, Mumbai, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Pune, Ahmedabad, Bhopal, and Indore. The company will soon expand the V-Fiber portfolio to 10 more cities, including Kolkata, Jaipur, Chandigarh, Raipur, Lucknow, Noida, Gurgaon, Delhi, Ghaziabad, and Faridabad.
Airtel V-Fiber works on the combination of Fiber technology and Vectorization and delivers data speeds up to 100 Mbps. This European technology is claimed to be ‘green’. Notably, the company is the first operator in India to use the Vectorization concept.
Airtel is currently on the mission to bring the new service to almost every city in India. To get a new Airtel V-Fiber connection, users have to upgrade to a new modem, which is priced at Rs. 1000. Other than the said requirement, no other installation, drilling, or wiring, is required.
If the customer is already using Airtel broadband connection, he/she can enjoy the super-fast V-Fiber internet without any increase in monthly rental.

The monthly rental plans of Airtel V-Fiber starts from Rs. 999 and goes up to Rs. 4,999 along with monthly FUP ranging from 50GB to 1000GB per month. Customers can also make unlimited voice calls (Local + STD) with the Airtel V-Fiber connection. Airtel is also running a ‘Welcome Offer’ that offers existing customers upgraded to V-Fiber without any increase in monthly rental and for new users Airtel is offering superfast internet with unlimited free calls.
