Bharti Airtel has recently launched its V-Fiber broadband services in few cities in India. At the time of its inception in October 2016, Airtel claimed that the services would be rolled out in 87 major cities in the country.
The service is currently available in the eight cities of Chennai, Mumbai, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Pune, Ahmedabad, Bhopal, and Indore. The company will soon expand the V-Fiber portfolio to 10 more cities, including Kolkata, Jaipur, Chandigarh, Raipur, Lucknow, Noida, Gurgaon, Delhi, Ghaziabad, and Faridabad.
Airtel V-Fiber works on the combination of Fiber technology and Vectorization and delivers data speeds up to 100 Mbps. This European technology is claimed to be ‘green’. Notably, the company is the first operator in India to use the Vectorization concept.
