Airtel Thanks: Eligibility for Membership and Benefits Explained

Reliance Jio’s competitive pricing and strategies have troubled other telcos ever since the Mukesh Ambani led operator stepped into the playing field. One of the most sought-after programs for Reliance Jio subscribers was of the JioPrime membership which cost Rs 99 for an entire year and this year was renewed for free for all the existing Prime members this year. Now Bharti Airtel has come up with a similar program called ‘Airtel Thanks‘ which will seemingly counter Reliance Jio’s Prime membership. Unlike JioPrime, the Airtel Thanks service is going to be an invite-only program for select postpaid and prepaid subscribers of the company depending on recharge packs, years of association etc. Also, the membership is going to remain free for now. However, Airtel might decide it in future to convert into a paid membership program.

Airtel Thanks Benefits

The members of Airtel Thanks will get to avail many benefits like up to 100% cash back on select recharges. Additionally, Airtel Thanks members will be eligible for 1 Year Amazon Prime Subscription at no extra cost, free handset damage protection and mobile security, free add-on connections, Cashback on recharges, premium customer support and subscription to Airtel TV and Wynk Music app. Having said that, users will be able to redeem these benefits only if they’re on the select plan.

How to Check Whether You’re Part of Airtel Thanks Membership

Airtel users should make note that the benefits of this program will vary from person to person and that the membership itself will only be available to select members. In case you want to check whether or not you are an Airtel Thanks member, you will have to head over to the My Airtel app on your mobile phone, where a message will be displayed “You are a premier member”. Further, inside the application only, members will be able to find the benefits listed for which they are eligible.

Airtel Thanks is a Hub for All Your Benefits

First and foremost, Airtel Thanks is a program which the company created to curate all the benefits offered by it under a single window. For example, you’re on the Airtel Rs 499 postpaid plan and the benefits which you’ll get from Airtel are: free Airtel TV, Wynk Music and Amazon Prime subscriptions Alongside that, users will also get free Handset Protection from the company, which again can be activated under the Airtel Thanks window.

So if you’re on the Rs 399 postpaid plan of Airtel, you will be asked to upgrade to plan to Rs 499 to enjoy the benefits mentioned above. But all the Airtel Thanks users will have access to Airtel TV, Wynk Music free subscriptions.

And for prepaid users, these benefits, as we mentioned above, will be subject to the recharges that you do on your number. In case you downgrade to a lower plan or change your plan, then these benefits will change likewise. Further, the cashbacks will be available to the consumers on recharging with Rs 399 or Rs 448 unlimited recharge pack through My Airtel app.

Airtel Offering Rs 51 Amazon Pay Gift Card Through Airtel Thanks

Airtel recently announced that it’s offering Rs 51 Amazon Pay gift card to its prepaid users on a combo plan priced above Rs 100 and to all the postpaid users on myPlan Infinity plan. Eligible customers can head over to My Airtel app and click on the Airtel Thanks banner to redeem the gift card worth Rs 51 from Amazon Pay. The leading telecom operator even stated that over one million users already redeemed the Amazon Pay gift card in five days.

JIO is surely improving in BengaLuru. Today I was travelling all over the city and checking at various places. Calls are great almost everywhere and even data is usable even where there’s no Airtel or Vode networks around.

This is what I got on Airtel in Bangalore on my pixel 2 xl phone. Impressed with speed but not impressed with call quality. Pixel doesn’t support volte and calls on 2G 3G is pathetic….

@chetan How is the speed or call quality that you get from one operator on one tower at one locality on one specific model of a phone useful to anyone but you?

@dragon relax ,. I was just excited with the speed, hence posted here.. just move on .. this speed test is done 50 m away from tower with Airtel antenna directly in sight hence such speeds .. but I stay other side of tower which is just 100 m away and dont even get band 40 signal inside my home, hence no use of such speeds… moreover this sim is only for testing purpose and I hate Airtel… My primary no. is on JIO
