Bharti Airtel today announced its partnership with the country's fourth-largest mobile brand Lenovo. Under the partnership, Airtel will be offering Rs 2,000 cashback on three smartphones of Motorola and Lenovo. The smartphones eligible for the offer are entry-level Moto C, budget smartphone Moto E4 and mid-range device Lenovo K8 Note. Airtel is aggressively partnering with mobile brands of late under its ‘Mera Pehla Smartphone,' and Lenovo is the latest one to join the list. The cashback offer is already effective, and as usual, there are some terms & conditions which needs to be followed by the customer to receive the cashback.

After the Rs 2,000 cashback, the effective price of the Moto C comes down to Rs 3,999; the same applies to Moto E4 and Lenovo K8 Note as the final price of the products become Rs 6,499 and Rs 10,999 respectively. All smartphones will come bundled with a special recharge pack of Rs 169 from Airtel offering 1GB 4G data per day and unlimited calling benefits – local and STD. But sadly, this plan doesn't offer any SMS benefits, which is underwhelming since Airtel's Rs 149 and Rs 199 tariff plans offer 100 SMS per day for 28 days.

The Moto C, at Rs 3,999 will be a great option for people looking for stock Android and Moto branding. However, investing a Rs 1,000 more will get you the Redmi 5A and Tenor D (first impressions) with possibly best hardware in that segment.

Talking about the terms and conditions of the cashback offer, it's limited to Rs 2,000, and it will be given to customers in two instalments over the period of 36 months. A customer needs to make Airtel prepaid recharges worth Rs 3500 within the 18 months to be eligible for the first cashback instalment of Rs 500. Similarly, another set of recharges worth Rs 3500 over the next 18 months will make the customer eligible for the second instalment of Rs 1500.

For the same offer, Airtel recently joined hands with HMD Global and offering the same Rs 2,000 cashback on Nokia 2 and Nokia 3 smartphones. Airtel is making aggressive moves because of the recent instant cashback offer from Reliance Jio dubbed JioFootball offer, which entitles a user of Rs 2,200 cashback on their first recharge on the device.
