Airtel Digital TV Starts Providing Long-Term Plans Up to 12 Months, Waives Off NCF Charges

Several TV viewers are not satisfied with the broadcasting regime introduced by Trai. But slowly, things are settling down with DTH and Cable TV providers coming up with more options. Earlier today, we reported that Sun Direct has started offering long-term plans of up to six months, and now, Airtel Digital TV has joined the list. Long duration plans under the new tariff regime don't inspire confidence for many as the prices will still remain the same and additionally consumers are burdened with NCF charges of Rs 153. But Airtel Digital TV has made a perfect move as it has completed waived off the NCF charges on packs that are available for three, six and 12-month subscription. Having said that, these packs are available for subscription via the Top Ups section in My Airtel mobile app.




Airtel Digital TV Long-Term Plans: What Do They Offer?

Very recently, we reported Airtel Digital TV's new HD and SD channel packs across various regions and they come without NCF charges. Now, Airtel Digital TV has started offering the same plans for three, six and 12 months respectively. For Telugu users, there are several packs such as AP Mega HD, AP Mega SD, MP MyFam HD, AP MyFam SD, AP Value Sports HD and so on. Now, these packs are being offered for up to 12 months.

For example, the AP Mega pack costs Rs 273 per month excluding NCF charges. But Airtel Digital TV will charge Rs 819 for three months, Rs 1,638 for six months and Rs 3,276 for 12 months. As you can clearly see, the prices of these plans are without NCF charges. We have reached out to Airtel Digital TV customer support team and they've confirmed the NCF charges waive off on these packs.

Airtel Digital TV is providing a slew of such packages region wise. For example, there are some packs for Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Delhi and other region users. All these packs can be subscribed for three, six or 12 months.

How to Subscribe to Airtel Digital TV Long-Duration Plans?

It's worth noting that Airtel Digital TV is still implementing these plans across all the regions, so there are some chances that these plans may not be visible inside your account. Interested subscribers can head over to My Airtel app and check the Add Ons tab for these plans. All the plans mentioned can be viewed under the Add Ons tab, but while activating you might face an error as try from the 'Connections' tab.

If this occurs, all you have to do wait for a few days before trying again. Airtel Digital TV customer support also confirmed that the DTH provider is still in the process of implementing these packs across all the regions. For some users, the plans are getting activated via My Airtel Add Ons section itself.
