Stc Bahrain Launches Scan and Go SIM Service for Instant SIM Activation

STC Bahrain has announced the launch of its SIM Self-Activation "Scan and Go SIM" service, which the company describes as the first of its kind in the country, aimed at empowering customers and driving forward Bahrain's digital transformation. Utilising advanced AI facial recognition, this service allows customers to activate their SIM cards instantly via the My STC BH app, eliminating the need to visit a physical branch.

Self-Activation Process

STC Bahrain stated that the process, which takes less than a minute, involves scanning a QR code, selecting a plan, and verifying identity, making it a seamless experience.

"This first-of-its-kind SIM activation service ensures a quick, efficient, and secure activation process for customers, allowing them to purchase a SIM anywhere and activate it seamlessly in the Kingdom without visiting any STC branch," STC Bahrain said in a recent statement.

Availability and Plans

The "Scan and Go SIM" is available at various approved locations across Bahrain and offers both prepaid and postpaid plans. The SIM purchase cost is credited back to users, and it includes all standard SIM services, plus exclusive rewards through the app.
