We’re just moments away from witnessing the 10th anniversary iPhone and a couple of other regular iPhones. Recently, the iOS 11 Developer Preview code revealed that all the three upcoming iPhones will be powered by the all new Apple A11 chipset, which will feature six cores.

Until now, all the Apple chipsets came with just four cores- two high-power cores and two high-efficiency cores (minus the one which powers the 2017 iPad Pro). However, that is going to change with the Apple A11 chipset as it is rumoured to come with two high-powered cores named as Monsoon cores, and four high-efficiency cores called as Mistral cores. Apple iPhones may not sport octa-core chips, but they’re the powerful machines every time they come out.
Furthermore, the A11 chipset will have a separate Neural Engine, which takes care of the dedicated Face ID calculations. Ahead of the official release, a mysterious Apple iPhone with name iPhone 10,5 paid a visit to benchmarking site Geekbench.
And yes, you’ll be surprised to hear the scores achieved by the new iPhone: single core score of 4061 and multi-core score of 9959. These are not only the highest scores achieved by any smartphone, but also record breaking scores. The listing also revealed that the chipset will have six cores, and the motherboard is named as D211AP.

Having said that, this mysterious Apple iPhone 10,5 is likely to be the Apple iPhone X, the so-called anniversary edition of the iPhone. The Geekbench listing further revealed that the device will feature just 3GB of RAM and the device is running iOS 11, which is also expected to make its debut today to the general public.
