Unlike LG, Samsung, and Xiaomi, HTC will not launch its flagship smartphone for this year during MWC 2016. Instead, HTC might wait for another month to launch the successor to the One M9. However, alleged design and specifications of the HTC One M10 have been leaked well ahead the official announcement of the smartphone.

Evan Blass (also known as @evleaks), the seasoned leakster, has unveiled an image, which might very well be the first picture of the HTC One M10. In terms of design, the One M10 might look very similar to the HTC One A9. HTC might do away with the company's logo at the front as well as stereo loudspeakers, which have been defining the design of the company's previous smartphones.
The HTC One M10 might feature a 5.1-inch AMOLED display with QHD resolution covered by Gorilla Glass 4. It will most probably be running HTC Sense UI 8.0 on top of Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow when it gets released. In terms of processing power, the One M10 is expected to feature a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor with 4GB RAM, 32GB internal storage, and a microSD card slot.
HTC will go the Samsung way in 2016 when it comes to cameras. It might equip the One M10 with a 12-megapixel primary camera with larger sensor, laser-assisted phase-detection autofocus, OIS, dual-tone dual-LED flash, and 4K video recording. The front-facing UltraPixel camera, whose resolution isn't known yet, might feature OIS lens, resulting in clearer and sharper selfies and video chats.
Similar to the HTC One A9 and the HTC One M9+, the HTC One M10 will most probably be equipped with a fingerprint sensor that's embedded inside a home button. The company will continue the full metal design with the One M10. It will be interesting to see how HTC competes with the big guns this year in the smartphone race.
The HTC One M10 will compete with the Samsung Galaxy S7, the Xiaomi Mi 5, the LG G5, and the Apple iPhone 6S for the rest of the year. The company has been posting losses for the past three consecutive quarters, and it will be trying to break even this year amidst cut-throat competition in the Android smartphone space. The company is also focussing on virtual reality with its HTC Vive virtual reality headset.
