Airtel, BSNL, and Jio Gain Wireless Users in November 2025; Vodafone Idea Loses Over 1 Million Subscribers
Indian telecom service providers Bharti Airtel (Airtel), Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL), and Reliance Jio gained wireless subscribers in November 2025, while Vodafone Idea (Vi) and state-run telco MTNL lost wireless subscribers during the month, according to TRAI‘s Telecom Subscription Data as of November 30, 2025, released on December 31, 2025. The data shows that the total number of wireless (Mobile and Fixed Wireless Access) subscribers increased from 1184.62 million at the end of October 2025 to 1187.48 million at the end of November 2025, thereby registering a monthly growth rate of 0.24 percent. Likewise, the number of wireless (mobile) subscribers increased from 1171.87 million at the end of October 2025 to 1173.88 million at the end of November 2025 thereby registering a monthly growth rate of 0.17 percent.

FWA Subscribers — 5G and UBR Breakdown

Total wireless (5G FWA) subscribers increased from 9.91 million at the end of October 2025 to 10.41 million at the end of November 2025 with subscriptions in urban and rural areas as 5.32 million and 5.09 million respectively. The shares of urban and rural wireless (5G FWA) subscribers in total wireless (5G FWA) subscribers were 51.11 percent and 48.89 percent respectively, at the end of November 2025.
