Samsung, with a 30% market share maintained its podium position, thanks to sales of its low and mid-range smartphones like Samsung Galaxy S Duos 2 and Samsung Galaxy Grand 2. Apple experienced a bit of a decline in shipments but still managed to retain the title of 2nd largest smartphone brand. However, iPhone sales are expected to increase in second half of 2014 after the possible launch of iPhone 6 with a larger 4.7 inch screen size.
