Videocon, one of youngest GSM Mobile Service providers, today announced the launch of Unlmited GPRS pack for its subscribers in Tamilnadu (including Chennai service area), Mumbai, Gujarat and Haryana telecom circles.
Videocon Prepaid subscribers can opt this service by paying just Rs.96 (E -Recharge with Rs 96).
The pack comes with the validity of 30 Days from the date of recharge and offers truly unlimited GPRS access without any fair usage policity.
Videocon Unlimited GPRS Packs enable customers to access Internet services on their mobile phones even when they are on the move. Additionally, customers can also access internet on their laptops using their mobile phones or 2G USB Sticks/Data Cards as a modem to connect.

its,, really unstable, during the day time around 9-11am i get a decent 25KBps + ,
during after noon also the same but after 6 – 8pm it was blaze 30~~ stable some times it peeked 35KBps,. wff, i guess i was the only person using these connection in my area, (pondicherry) :p

I have just buy a Videocon SIM few days ago & got this GPRS plan.
Downloading speed is good but connection is not so stable. Sometimes it got disconnected frequently. But in normal conditions it gives downloading speed of around 30 KB/s.

40 kbps with EDGE???.
It cannot be more than 30KBps theoretically leave aside network problems and latency time.
If any operator gives 20KB/sec constantly then go to a temple and thank God for it.

Nt 2-3 GB. maximum it can be 1gb. Coz low speed sucks ur mind always. we cant download. even jst surfing sites take a lot of time.
We cant much more expect from gprs service.
Its works better when we use it in mobile. it can be use for emergency and for jst checking mails and low contents website.
Its never can be alternate for internet. Seedhe words me, Bas kaam nikaal deta hai

today reliance revised internet plans which are not very good and given below:-
rs 5 plan with 50 mb for 1 day
rs 51 plan with 1gb for 15 days
so videocon is better than big operator reliance. i am reliance user and not satisfy and waiting for docomo and videocon in Rajasthan

UL in 2G is of no use since the data speed for most networks will not be that great. Also I see people cannot download more than 2 to 3 GB max in a month due to slow speed.
