In an attempt to improve subscriber experience, Jio has now updated its 4G voice calling app 'JioJoin' and renamed it as 'Jio4G voice'. The app runs on any Android smartphone which lacks VoLTE feature and acts as a bridge for voice and video calling purposes.
With the latest update, the app got several new features like improved dialer, group chat with upto 100 contacts and location sharing. Also, it got a new improved user interface which responds much faster and is comparatively cleaner than the old version. Moreover, Jio customers can now make high quality voice call to other Jio customers using VoLTE devices from the app. People can also use the new smart calling feature which let you place a call upon opening the contact information and then lifting the phone to your ear.
This update also transforms the voice calling app into a rich default texting app, as users can use new improved SMS feature. It also contains stickers and features like custom chat theme. The company is also working to add Indian regional keyboard support to the app.

Other Developments:
Jio also updated its wallet app 'Jio Money' with a clean new UI and added facilities like barcode, security feature and Reliance One card integration. It also recently renamed other Jio apps including TV streaming app Jio play as Jio TV, VOD app Jio on demand as JioCinema and music streaming app Jio beats as JioMusic.
