Follow Us

Gionee is a China based mobile phone manufacturing company that has been launching its devices in the Indian market as well with an aim to widen its market reach. Alongside the Elife E7, the company has also launched the Elife E7 Mini which incidentally is a global premier for the device. It has been launched at a price of Rs 18,999 and has now become the country’s first true octa core phone to make a debut with a price tag.

Let us have a quick look at some of the chief features and specifications of this device:

Display: The Gionee Elife E7 Mini features a capacitive HD touch display of 4.7 inches that offers a resolution of 720p which is pretty much the standard in the sub Rs 20,000 price bracket. But the screen is definitely a bigger unit when compared to the S4 Mini or the HTC One Mini.

Processor: This device has been powered by a MediaTek MT6592 chipset and octa core processor clocked at 1.7 Giga Hertz. The processor is a true octa core unit with all the cores working together at once to give you a great level of performance.

Operating System: Elife E7 Mini runs on Android 4.2 Jelly Bean platform. It might just get Android 4.3 in near future but Android 4.4 seems pretty much out of the equation.

Memory: This smartphone carries a RAM of 1 GB and 16 GB of inbuilt storage space. It also offers expandable storage with the help of a micro SD card. The smartphone might just lag a bit because it has a high level of customisation on top of Android and 1GB of RAM finds it a bit hard to do everything at once.

Camera: Elife E7 Mini has been equipped with a camera of 13 mega pixels with LED flash. It is a rotatable camera that can be made to use as a rear as well as front facing camera and this is the feature which makes it quite an interesting device. None of the other devices on sale in India feature a similar camera unit.

Connectivity Features: The connectivity options included in this smartphone are Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, 3G and micro USB.

Other Features: Gionee Elife E7 Mini features a 3.5 mm audio jack. It is a dual SIM handset and supports GSM SIMs. This smartphone also carries an accelerometer, proximity sensor and ambient light sensor.

Battery: This handset works on a battery of 2100 mAh capacity.

Price: The Gionee Elife E7 Mini has been launched in the country at a price of Rs. 18,999.

Our Take: The Gionee Elife E7 Mini smartphone comes with some very amazing features. Its main highlights are the octa core processor that will ensure smooth and fast functioning, and its 13 mega pixel swivel camera. Elife E7 Mini will hopefully fair well in the market since it’s the only octa core smartphone that will be available at such a great price.
