Airtel today announced the launch of 3G Mobile and Data Services in Bangalore - Karnataka, as earlier we shared on TelecomTalk.
The 3G Data offerings announced by Airtel is not attractive as Pan India 3G Mobile service provider BSNL/MTNL offring with their commercial 3G services in more than 700 cities across India.
Airtel introduced various 3G data plans starting from Rs.9 but there is no Unlimited 3G data plan launched by the operator. The Airtel GSM 2G Plan and customer can clubbed 3G data plans as their needs and suitability.Local , National and roaming 3G video call will be charged at 5paisa per sec.
To activate the 3G service on Airtel Mobile subscribers need to send a SMS 3G to 121. After sending the SMS the confirmation SMS will comes and 2G Data Plan will be de-activated in any. After the confirmation by subscriber 3G Data Plan "Pay As You Go will be activated and all data access will be charged at 30p / 20kb (approx Rs.15/Mb)
