Yureka and Yuphoria to get Android 5.1 based CM12.1 soon

Yu is the only Indian manufacturer which comes with CyanogenMod operating system. The two offerings under the brand, the Yureka and Yuphoria run on Android 5.0 Lollipop based CM12S. The next update for the duo, the Cyanogen OS 12.1 based on Android 5.1 Lollipop is already in the works and is coming soon.

The update has already reached the final phase of testing and users can even go in for the beta test just in case they are too eager to get the update. The details regarding the update coming soon was released by Rahul Sharma, founder of Yu Televentures.

Some users have reported issues with the proximity sensors of the Yuphoria and Yureka and the new update will bring a solution to this problem. The update will bring with it a wide array of changes which include an updated firmware for the keyboard to improve typing and gestures and a completely overhauled camera UI with revised settings which would help you take better pictures across varied lighting settings.

The dialer, audio settings and thermal performance of the devices will see an improvement too with the update. Alongside this, the Nightly build of CyanogenMod 12.1 based on Android 5.1 for the two device will also be made available henceforth. Nightly builds are updated every night by CyanogenMod community.
