After posting a series of sarcastic teasers and messages on Twitter, YU is all set to launch its much-awaited smartphone, the Yutopia. The company has created much buzz about the forthcoming device, with its recent teaser of the device in which it directly mocked Apple iPhones. The story received mixed responses from our readers as well, where many supported YU’s view while many backlashed at it for making fun of Apple.
The YU Yutopia will go official on December 7. The invitation image for the launch reads,“The Real Beast is coming to town on 07.12.2015.” We hope Yutopia proves to be worthy of all the hype, because if it fails, we are sure that it will be mocked by many. YU did not even leave OnePlus in one of its teasers, the company took a dig at the OnePlus 2 for not featuring Quick Charge feature.
Even today, YU targeted yet another company in its teaser on Twitter, this time it is Samsung’s Galaxy S6 Edge, which comes with a 3GB of RAM. The caption on the teaser takes a dig at it and reads,“3GB RAM for a flagship phone? #NextIsNoTNow. #Yutopia will change everything around!”. It can also mean that the Yutopia might come with 4GB of RAM.
The YU Yutopia is being dubbed as the company’s first flagship smartphone, so it might be priced higher than the 10k bracket, unlike previous devices by YU. The pre-registrations for the device have already begun on YU’s website, and this time has no plans to sell it via flash sales.
