As we reported earlier, YU was supposed to unveil its mystery device today, and the company did reveal the new device through a landing page on Snapdeal. The new device has been named, YU YUNIQUE, and the registrations for it went live today exclusively on Snapdeal.
The device comes with a 4.7-inch IPS LCD display with a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels, and is powered by a 1.2 GHz 64-bit quad-core Snapdragon 410 (MSM8916) processor coupled with 1GB of RAM. It has 8GB of internal storage, expandable up to 32GB via microSD card, and runs Cyanogen OS 12.1 based on Android 5.1.1 Lollipop. The device features 8-megapixel of primary camera with LED Flash, f/2.0 aperture along with a 2-megapixel front-facing camera. It supports connectivity options such as dual-SIM, 4G LTE, 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS, and is backed by a 2,000 mAh battery.
YU’s latest offering will be available in Black color, for a price of Rs. 4,999. In addition, the device will also come with an option of extra back covers in Moonstone Grey and Serene White colors, priced at Rs. 5,499. The device is all set to go on sale from September 15th through YU’s tried and tested flash sale model.
