While devices like the Xolo One and the Xolo Q610s were updated to Android 5.0 Lollipop recently, the consumers who bought the Xolo Q1200 were quite unlucky in terms of software updates. Xolo had released the beta version of Android 4.4 KitKat to the Q1200 last year, and now the company is rolling out the stable version of Android 4.4 KitKat to the device.

The update, whose file size is around 394MB, can be downloaded from the company's official website. Android 4.4 KitKat brings transparent status bar, new phone dialler, easier launcher switching, printing support, and various under-the-hood improvements. The update also provides some new features such as burst shot, panorama, multi-view, and live-photo modes to the camera on the Xolo Q1200.

When the Xolo Q1200 was launched back in June 2014, it was running Android 4.2 Jelly Bean out of the box. As of now, Xolo hasn't released any plans to upgrade this smartphone with Android 5.0 Lollipop.
