Domestic smartphone brand, Xolo has launched its latest smartphone in the Indian market. Dubbed as Xolo Era 1X Pro, it is the successor to last year’s Xolo Era 1X and brings in a decent selfie camera upgrade as a successor. The highlight of the Era 1X Pro is the 5MP front-facing camera, which also has a dual-tone LED flash- a rarity in the price point of sub Rs. 6,000.

The Xolo Era 1X Pro is priced at Rs. 5,888 and will be sold exclusively via Snapdeal. Besides the selfie camera upgrade, the Era 1X Pro doesn’t feature many changes compared to its predecessor. The Xolo Era 1X Pro comes with a 5-inch HD display with a resolution of 720×1280 pixels. Xolo did not mention any protective layer used to protect the display of the phone.
The rest of the specs are entry-level as well. The device is fuelled with a quad-core chipset, with a 1.5GHz CPU. Xolo did not mention the chipset model number. However, we believe it might be a Spreadtrum chipset. The SoC is mated with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage, which is expandable up to 32GB via a microSD card.
The device comes with a decent 8MP rear camera with a LED flash support. The camera app offers several modes such as Slow Motion Video, Time Lapse Video, and Live Photos, etc. The Era 1X Pro is probably the cheapest smartphone to offer such camera modes. And as said earlier, the phone has a 5MP selfie camera with dual-tone LED flash support as well.
