Xiaomi seems to be riding high on the success of its Redmi Note 3 smartphone, which was launched in March, this year. The company claims that the device has touched a new sales mark and is now the best-selling smartphone in India.

Redmi Note 3

As per a tweet by Xiaomi, Around 2.3 million units of the Redmi Note 3 have been sold to date. Xiaomi claims that Indian sales of the Redmi Note 3 averaged one sale per 7 seconds. Last month, Xiaomi announced that it had shipped 1.75 million units of the Redmi Note 3 in a period of five months.

To commemorate the sales mark achieved by the Redmi Note 3, Xiaomi is organizing an online contest (game); wherein participants can win Redmi Note 3 or coupons. The game would require players to type the auto-generated sentences in 7 seconds or less. Each player would get three chances to win till Thursday. On a funny note, the nature of the game looks doable for writers or keyboarders (we stand a fair chance). For the ones who are not able to win in the three attempts, you can earn grace chances by sharing Xiaomi's post on Facebook. With this method, users can receive up to 9 chances each day until Thursday.

To recap, the Redmi Note 3 comes powered with Snapdragon 650 chipset. It is available in two variants – 2GB RAM/16GB storage and 3GB RAM/32GB storage. The device runs MIUI 7 based on Android Lollipop and supports dual 4G SIM cards (Micro + Nano). The handset packs a 4050mAh battery with fast charging support. On the camera front, the Redmi Note 3 sports a 16MP rear camera with phase detection autofocus (PDAF) and two-tone flash along with a 5MP front camera. The 2GB RAM variant is priced at Rs. 9,999, while the 3GB variant is priced at Rs. 11,999.
