The Chinese company, Xiaomi has made yet another exciting launch in India, and it comes in the form of a new Google Play Store application. The Chinese electronics company has launched the ShareSave app in India for Android users which will facilitate a social e-commerce service for Indian consumers who want to order Chinese products which are currently unavailable outside the country. The social e-commerce platform which will form the core of this new app will allow the users to make purchases right away or they will also be able to pair their purchases with their friends and family to get discounts. Currently, the ShareSave has only been launched for Android on Google Play Store, and there has been no news whether or not the application will be launched for iOS or even as a Web version.

Indian Users Can Now Buy China Exclusive Devices

Xiaomi posted about this new launch on its official blog and said that it is hoping to provide its fan with a platform where they will be able to purchase the products which have just been launched in China. Xiaomi ShareSave will be that platform and users will be able to order goods which are otherwise unavailable in their market. Xiaomi also said that ShareSave is a global initiative, but India happens to be the launch market for this application.

In its blog post, Xiaomi said, “Xiaomi strongly believes in the power of communities and Mi Fans, and the social aspect of ShareSave is a perfect reflection of this. ShareSave allows for a place where Mi Fans connect, enjoy and share a unique #SharetoSave shopping experience. It also serves as a testing ground for key markets, allowing Xiaomi to learn more about the local demand for various types of product.”

Pair-up, Drop and Kickstart for Discounts and Lower Prices

Explaining how the platform will work, Xiaomi has announced that users will get the option of Pair-up, Drop and Kickstart. In the Pair-up mode, as the name suggests, you will be able to team up with a friend or family member, and you will both get a fixed discount. The Drop option will allow the users to select a product from the list and then they will be able to invite their friends and family to that drop. As more and more friends join, the price of the product will go lower and once the product reaches the targeted price the user will either get it for free or at 50% discount. The “Kickstart” mode will let the buyers back the desired products for as low as $0.2 initial payment, and when the product has been successfully funded, they will be eligible for ten-times the reward of that initial funding amount in the form of a shopping voucher. In addition to these modes, the buyers will also have the option of outright purchasing the products.

Xiaomi also announced in its blog post that it has partnered up with 100 IoT and lifestyle companies for ShareSave, a lot of which are from its own incubation platform. Xiaomi has said that it will provide full local support for the devices purchased from the platform along with a doorstep delivery. Some of the currently listed products on the ShareSave platform include Mi x Wiha Precision Screwdriver, Yeelight LED Light Bulb (Color), and Soocas Sonic Electric Toothbrush X1 Lite.
