Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 Receives a New MIUI 9 Global Stable ROM V9.2.1.0 Update

Xiaomi has released a new MIUI 9 Global Stable ROM update to the popular Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 Snapdragon variant. The Chinese company is now rolling out MIUI 9 Global Stable ROM V9.2.1.0 with several bug fixes. To be noted, this update is currently rolling out to users on MIUI 9 Stable ROM. If you’re on Stable ROM, you’ll receive an over-the-air (OTA) update on your Note 4, and it weighs around 420MB.

The update comes with build number NCFMIEK, up from the previous build number- NRD90M. As stated, the update primarily focuses on bug fixes. But a new feature has been added to App lock, which now supports hiding messages from selected apps. Also, Xiaomi fixed an annoying feature in this update as it’s now reduced the number of push notifications when the user is signed out from the Mi Account.

This update also brings the new Mi Mover application to the Redmi Note 4. The new Mi Mover app allows users to import contacts, photos, and videos from Apple iCloud to Mi Phone seamlessly.

MIUI 9 Global Stable ROM V9.2.1.0 Changelog

  • New – Mi Mover, supports data migration restarting. During migrating data to the new phone, device hotspot connection will be restored automatically in case of interruption to complete the data migration.

The update is currently rolling out to the Snapdragon variant of Redmi Note 4. If you did not receive the update notification yet, check for the update manually by heading over to Settings.
