Xiaomi Redmi 6 Complete Specs and Images Uncovered by TENAA Listing

Xiaomi Redmi 6 is the new budget Redmi device coming from the house of Xiaomi, as a successor to the popular Xiaomi Redmi 5. The alleged Redmi 6 smartphone has now paid a visit to Chinese regulatory portal TENAA, which uncovered the complete specifications and images of the device. The device in these images is exactly similar to the smartphone which was spotted in a couple of real-life pictures. The Redmi 6, if the reports are believed to be true will have a notch on top of the display, and it will be the first Redmi device to adopt the notch design. As mentioned, the TENAA listing revealed complete specifications of the upcoming handset, but the processor name was not listed.

Xiaomi Redmi 6 TENAA Listing Details
The Xiaomi Redmi 6 will bear the model number- M1805D1SE and measures 149.33 x 71.68 x 75mm. The smartphone weights 178 grams and going by the weight, we can assume the device to sport the metal back. The phone is also listed to arrive in nine different colours. Several Xiaomi smartphones such as the Mi 6X and Redmi S2 in recent times are listed to come in nine colours, but Xiaomi launched the devices in only four different colours. The nine colours in question are black, rose gold, gold, white, blue, red, pink, gray and silver. Expect Xiaomi to launch the gold, rose gold, blue and red colour options.

The Redmi 6 will have a 5.84-inch display with a resolution of 2280 x 1080 pixels. Thanks to the notch, the display will have 19:9 aspect ratio. Here comes the surprising part. The processor of Redmi 6 is listed to have 2.0 GHz clock speed. Yes, you guessed it right. It could be another Xiaomi smartphone with Snapdragon 625 chipset on board, but the confirmation was not provided in the TENAA listing. Cameras in the Redmi 6 include a 12MP primary sensor to the back, which will be paired with another sensor as the device is clearly spotted with dual rear cameras. But the secondary camera details are not revealed by this listing. The phone will have a 5MP front-facing camera to take care of selfies.

The device comes in various RAM and memory options like 2GB/16GB, 3GB/32GB and 4GB/64GB. There will be a microSD card slot for storage expansion. This device will boot Android 8.1 Oreo-based ROM out of the box and will have a 3900mAh battery inside.

Moving onto the design aspect, the Redmi 6 resembles the Redmi 5 smartphone a lot, sans the notched display. The fingerprint scanner is present at the back of the phone. There's a chin to the bottom, but the top bezel has been trimmed significantly to accommodate the notch. Nevertheless, there's a still a noticeable bezel on the top though.

The Xiaomi Redmi 6 has now passed TENAA certification, so the launch is imminent. There are heavy chances that Xiaomi will announce the Redmi 6 at its May 31 event alongside the Xiaomi Mi 8, MIUI 10 and Mi Band 3.
