These Are the Features Xiaomi Plans to Add to Future MIUI

All the new phones from Xiaomi come with MIUI 10. The Redmi Note 7 and the Redmi Note 7 Pro that launched in India last week come running on Android 9 Pie based on MIUI 10. To recollect Xiaomi introduced the MIUI 10 in the first half of 2018 and undoubtedly it is the most advanced software Xiaomi has ever introduced. Reports suggest that the Chinese smartphone manufacturer is working on the next generation MIUI aka MIUI 11. Xiaomi is expected to release the MIUI 11 to the compatible Xiaomi phones by the middle of this year. The company is yet to release a timeline of MIUI 11.




Ahead of the official release a lot is being talked about the MIUI 11. Rumours and leaks suggest that the MIUI 11 will come integrated with better and improved features when compared to the existing MIUI 10. A latest report coming from MIUI China forum listed out some of the key features of the latest MIUI build in addition to the ones that will release very soon.

Features Coming to Future MIUI Builds

In the post, Xiaomi reveals some of the features that the company is working hard to bring to MIUI. These features include the option to show lock screen when using face unlock to unlock the phone, new sound effect for Xiaomi Music app, enhanced Dolby sound via software optimisation, Face Unlock and fingerprint sensor work simultaneously, optimised interface to remove virus scan reminder, voice commands for screen wake-up function, one-click command to clean-up, Album privacy for videos inside the gallery, global Night mode, and vertical top text for photo editing.

The post also mentions features like redesigned App Store, showing charging status option and display of power level on the screen. Notably, these aforementioned features are the ones Xiaomi plans to bring to MIUI next.

In the same post, Xiaomi mentioned about the features the company plans to bring to the future builds of MIUI. The features include automatic deletion of installation package after the app is installed, reduction in false touch, internal Recycle bin for photos, crop support for images on 18:9 ratio, enhanced App permissions, optimized voice-activated shutter option, child mode, Bluetooth stereo support for games, among others.

Some other features that Xiaomi plans to bring to future builds also include -- internet speed and traffic management, emergency contact details on the lock screen, and redesigned animation for charging.
