It has been more than a year since Xiaomi launched the first Note device in the Redmi lineup. The Xiaomi Redmi Note was announced in March 2014, while its 4G variant was announced in August last year. Now, the company’s CEO Lei Jun has revealed some information regarding the announcement date for the next device from the company.

According to the information revealed on the social networking site Weibo, the company plans to announce a new Note device on June 29. We believe that the company will launch the Redmi Note 2 that was leaked through TENAA certification recently.
