Xiaomi had teased one of its product on Twitter yesterday which seemed to be a clear hint towards a footwear line-up. Xiaomi today launched the Mi Men’s Sports Shoes 2 in India, and with this, the company has made its foray into the footwear category in India. Unlike its electronic products, the Xiaomi Mi Men’s Sports Shoes 2 will first be available on its crowdfunding platform and won’t go on sale directly. For this new product, the Chinese manufacturer has asserted that it has used the 5-in-1 uni moulding technology which makes these shoes slip-resistant, durable and shock-absorbent thus lending a comfortable fit for the wearers.

Mi Men's Sports Shoes 2 Designed by Uni-Moulding Process

Like we mentioned above, Xiaomi has debuted the Mi Men’s Shoes 2 as a crowdfunded product, and thus they will not be directly available to the consumers. The funding has already started on Xiaomi’s website, and as of this writing, Xiaomi has already met its 25% of the total goal. The target is for 5,000 orders which means that once 5,000 orders are received, Xiaomi will confirm them and will hence begin the shipping. As per our information, Xiaomi will start the shipping for this product on March 15. If you are interested in buying the latest Xiaomi Mi Men’s Sports Shoes 2, then this would be an appropriate time as the shoes are available with an early bird discount of Rs 500. The original MRP of the product is Rs 2,999, whereas, under this offer, the shoes will cost only Rs 2,499 for the buyers. Also, the buyers will have the luxury of choosing between colour options like Blach, Grey and Blue.

Xiaomi Boasts of Comfortable Fit and Sleek Design

Xiaomi also announced that the shoe is manufactured out of five parts which include the synthetic rubber outsoles, vacuum press midsole, TPU midsole balancing patch, cushion patch, and a PU supporting layer all held together by the uni-moulding process which will keep the soles intact and will also increase the durability of the footwear. Another highlight of the new product is the 10-fishbone structure which will allow for comfortable cushioning, improved balance and much-needed arc-support. On top of that, Xiaomi has claimed that the Mi Mens Sports Shoes 2 is made from breathable mesh fabric which is washing machine friendly and is also very easy to clean. The shoes come with an ultra-comfortable fit and a minimalistic design, Xiaomi added.

During the launch of this product, Raghu Reddy, Head - Category & Online Sales, Xiaomi India remarked, "2019 began on a very exciting note with us having introduced two new categories already. We are delighted to introduce another new offering in our range of lifestyle products - Mi Men's Sports Shoes 2 which will go live on our crowdfunding platform. We are positive that our new Mi Men's Sports Shoes 2 will add immense value to our Mi Fans' lives, offering the best design and performance at an honest price. "
