Xiaomi has silently increased the prices of its Make in India power banks in the country. The Chinese company's 10000mAh Mi Power Bank 2i now costs Rs 899, up from the earlier Rs 799 launch price tag, followed by the 20000mAh Mi Power Bank 2i which will retail for Rs 1599 going forward, up from the launch price of Rs 1499. The reason for the price hike is unknown at the moment, but we assume that it could be the recent changes in the tax structure by the Indian government. The price hike is not a big one, and the Mi Power Bank 2i series are amongst the affordable power banks available today. The price hike will also be effective across the Mi Home stores in India.

The Mi Power Bank 2i lineup consists of two power banks with 10000mAh and 20000mAh capacity. Initially, both the variants were limited to Mi.com and Mi Home stores, but later on, Xiaomi made them available on Flipkart and Amazon India as well. Xiaomi is currently selling the power banks across offline stores such as Big Bazar, Vijay Sales etc.

During the launch event last year, Xiaomi said that its new manufacturing plant is capable of producing seven power banks per minute. The Mi Power Bank 2i 10000mAh variant weighs around 245grams and has a thickness of 245grams. The Mi Power Bank 2i 20000mAh variant has a weight of 358grams to it and is thicker than the 10000mAh variant. The 10000mAh variant feels much premium because of the metallic casing; The 20000mAh one comes with a polycarbonate shell.
