It appears that Xiaomi is preparing the global launch of a new Mi Phone in India on April 23. The company has announced this through a tweet from its official account, and the event is set to happen at the Siri Fort: Asian Games Village Complex in New Delhi, and

It seems that this launch is very important for the company as its CEO & Founder Lei Jun, President & Co-founder Bin Lin,
and VP Xiaomi Global, Hugo Barra will be present at the event. Xiaomi will also have welcome gifts ready for some Mi fans who are also allowed to attend the global premiere.

The successor to the Redmi 1S has already been launched in the country, and there's still time for the launch of the Mi 5. We think that it could be the successor to the Xiaomi Redmi Note, but it could be anything and it is too early to guess the name of the device.

India is an important market for Xiaomi, and the company has accepted the fact, unlike Apple, by having a global premiere of a new, undisclosed smartphone in the country.
