Three months ago, Xiaomi had announced the Xiaomi Mi 6 in four colour variants – Coral Blue, Balck, Silver, and White. However, only two of them, the Coral Blue and the Black versions of the Mi 6 have made it to the stores, until now. Now, the Chinese smartphone manufacturer is all set to roll out the white variant of the device.

Yesterday, according to a report, Xiaomi had officially announced that the White Xiaomi Mi 6 would be launched on July 14. There is no official word on when the Silver variant will come out though. The new White Xiaomi Mi 6 will be priced around the same price point of its Black and Blue versions. The 6GB RAM model with 64GB of internal storage will cost around 2,499 Yuan or USD 368 (approximately Rs. 23,721). On the other hand, the 6GB RAM model with 128GB will cost 2,899 Yuan or USD 427 (approximately Rs. 27,524).

For those not in the know, the Xiaomi Mi 6 features a 5.15-inch IPS LCD display with FHD resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels at 428ppi pixel density. The device is internally powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 chipset coupled with 4GB/6GB of RAM. The smartphone runs on the latest Android Nougat 7.1.1 out of the box. You have the option of further expanding the memory via a microSD card.

The Xiaomi Mi 6 is backed by a 3,350mAh battery cell equipped with Quick Charge 3.0 fast charging technology. When it comes to the optics department, the device houses a dual 12MP main camera setup – one with 27mm lens, f/1.8 aperture, OIS and the other with f/2.6 aperture, dual tone LED flash and phase-detection autofocus. The phone sports an 8MP front-facing camera as well.

This dual-SIM handset comes with features like water resistance and is also splash proof. Although the Xiaomi Mi 6 lacks a headphone jack, the phone makes up for it with an accompanying adapter. The company has also launched a pair of USB Type-C earphones.

After months of waiting, those who have been looking forward to the White Xiaomi Mi 6 will have to wait some more to purchase it, as this variant is not coming to the Indian markets. With persistent manufacturing issues being faced by the company, it is our guess that the Silver variant of the Mi 6 won’t hit the markets anytime soon.
