Vineet Durani, Director – Windows Phone Business Group, Microsoft India  said, “Less than ten months back, when we launched Windows Phone 8 in India, we had set ourselves the goal of being the second most widely used smartphone platform in India, and we are excited to have achieved this milestone so quickly.”

I think Indian folks must be appreciated for this great step i.e. ditching apple and its crapPhone. People really have growing interest in Windows so we can see this result.

Are you a dumb to understand these things?

@ss. U always love to sit back of the Windows.. and look out side through it. u never understand whats the freedom u can enjoy from open source platform… come out of Windows… the gaint nokia has dropped its market share, and owned by Ms for just 7 billion dollers from nearly 120 billon dollers by choosing a wrong platform for their mobiles. it lacks many futures compared to andriod.. I really want to test some essential apps between windows and android. 1.torrent client player 3.file manager 4. rss reader 5. free sms app radio/ tv/newspaper and juke box… Read more »

Really? Well here are some reasons why windows phone is better than android UI rendering:-UI Rendering is the rate at which the OS responds to the users input both ios and WP have high priority for UI Rendering, its only android which has low priority for UI rendering that was because android was built to compete with blackberry and was not at all meant to be used on touchscreen phones.Thats why no matter wheter you have an octa core processor or hecta core processor on you android device you would never find android as smooth as WP or ios. Nokia 1100 has also same advantages over andriod right?
Fast UI,less memory, free from malware,no piracy,no fragmentation… windows phones are a step back in time compared to andriod. they are not really smart phones

windows still suck in available free third party applications..

Windows phone is suitable for suckers who are first timers.

who are updating from java/Symbian to (so called) windows phone.

In my opinion, Java or Symbian platform is far better than windows platform.,

Hi Kavin Sad to hear about your “unique” experience. Pls take a note of the following points. 1. Equiliser seems a missing feature in Lumia 520 but microsoft promised to bring this via future updates. 2. No video format support and blah blah- Dude, check out Windows store for some great players even though best are paid ones. 3. People seemed to install 50 apps in his/her lumia so i cannot understand your theory. 4. Restart- i never ever faced this problem, maybe a manufacturing defect or your mishandling. 5. A lots of great reviews about lumia 520 and your… Read more »
