Honor 9 Lite, which was released a while back has now added to the list of Vodafone VoLTE supported smartphones. Alongside this, Vodafone today announced the launch of its Super VoLTE services in Haryana starting with cities- Panipat, Sonipat, Yamunanagar, Ambala and Rohtak. With this launch, Vodafone becomes the first GSM operator in the state to enable customers to make calls using VoLTE and enjoy HD quality crystal clear voice with super call connect. There was a lot of confusion on how can Vodafone claim it as the first operator to launch VoLTE in the said circle. Vodafone claims itself as GSM operator, whereas Reliance Jio is an LTE-only operator.
Vodafone 4G customers can access Vodafone VoLTE for no additional charges, and all calls will be billed as per existing plan or pack benefits. For the uninitiated, Vodafone VoLTE services are already live in Mumbai, Delhi-NCR, Rajasthan, Gujarat and Maharashtra & Goa and the company promises pan-India coverage in the next few months.
With the VoLTE support roll out for Honor 9 Lite, all the Honor devices available in India now has support for Vodafone VoLTE. And the phones are Honor View 10, Honor 9i, Honor 7X, Honor 8 Pro, Honor 6X and now the Honor 9 Lite. Apart from Honor devices, Vodafone's VoLTE supported list is not growing big as big brands such as Samsung, Apple are yet to release OTA update to their smartphones.
