Vodafone Super VoLTE: Availability, Compatible Handsets and Everything You Need to Know

Bharti Airtel followed on the footsteps of Vodafone as it introduced the VoLTE for roaming a few days back. The telco has named its services as 'Super VoLTE' and it has also detailed about the new Super VoLTE on its website giving out information like the active circles for the service, compatible devices and more. The company has also noted that there is an apparent difference between the standard VoLTE and Vodafone Super VoLTE as the latter provides ultra-high definition call quality. This superior quality makes voices sound more natural and users hear much less background noise compared to any other standard voice call. This will ensure that the calls are noise free even when the caller is in a noisy area.

What is Vodafone Super VoLTE?

Giving out information about the Super VoLTE technology, the telco has said that it is an advanced technology that delivers high-quality sound over voice calls across the Vodafone SuperNet 4G network. The advantages of the new technology include higher quality voice on calls with reduced noise, enhanced overall voice quality and the ability to surf the internet at 4G speeds even while you are on call.

It is important to note that for the consumers to be able to use the Super VoLTE on the Vodafone network, they must have a VoLTE compatible handset. On the official Vodafone website, the telco has listed many handsets classified under various brands where you can check whether or not your handset is Super VoLTE enabled. Popular smartphones from brands like OnePlus, Xiaomi, Apple, Samsung, Honor, Huawei and almost all the phones launched in recent times support Vodafone VoLTE out of the box.

Also, another way to check whether your device is compatible is by simply sending a message “4G CHECK” to 199 from your Vodafone number. After that, you will also need to ensure that your phone is updated to the latest software since the VoLTE support must also be guaranteed from the software side for it to work. After enabling VoLTE on your device, you should be able to access the Vodafone Super VoLTE network.

Active Circles for Vodafone Super VoLTE

Vodafone has introduced Super VoLTE in selected circles, and much like the list of compatible devices, there is also a list of active circles on the official Vodafone Super VoLTE page. It is worth noting that the Super VoLTE rollout covers areas like Assam, Chennai, Delhi & NCR, Gujarat, Haryana, Karnataka, Kerala, Maharashtra & Goa, Mumbai, North East, Odisha, Punjab, Rajasthan, Tamil Nadu, UP East, UP West and West Bengal.

Vodafone Super VoLTE Works in Roaming Too

Since the service launch back in 2017, the UK-based telco, Vodafone has been offering it on national roaming where the operator has its VoLTE presence. For example, you reside in Chennai circle and travelling to Andhra Pradesh & Telangana circle where Vodafone is not providing Super VoLTE services, then you will not be able to use VoLTE in that circle. But if you travel to a circle where Vodafone has its VoLTE services active, then you can experience HD voice calls.
