Vodafone's All-in-One VAS CardIn an attempt to boost value added service adoption among subscribers, India's second largest mobile operator Vodafone India has introduced a new super value offer - "All In One VAS Card" for Delhi-NCR region.

Priced at just Rs 29, the VAS card includes 8 value added services in one recharge for prepaid customers. With VAS card 29 you will get a bundle of flash alerts like News, Cricket, Love, Movie, Astrology, Stock, Did you Know (trivia pack), Mehfil-e-timepass - all for 30 days. Not only that you can also avail a "Buy 1 Cappuccino and get another one free” offer at all Barista outlets. Just buy All-in-One VAS card worth Rs 29 and activate it dialing *121*4*recharge code#.

Commenting on the new VAS offer, Subrat Padhi, Business Head – Delhi, Vodafone India said, “Innovation and customer service are strongly embedded in the DNA of Vodafone. We are constantly seeking unique ways and means to provide better value and let our customers do more with Vodafone. Today’s youth are very tech savvy and like to use their mobile phones as not just a tool to communicate, but also keep themselves aware on what’s happening all around them.

Our Take: For many prepaid customers VAS is similar to menace which causes unjustified balance reduction. VAS should go in a way that people recharge a pack and get benefits, like most SMS or data packs. VAS activation should be restricted to recharge cards, not from my prepaid balance. Vodafone's strategy is good, even the pricing too! But let's see how  many people think it's worth. Now all VAS stuffs are widely available over internet, with 3G goes stronger I believe no one requires none of these value added services.
