Vodafone, the second largest telecom operator in the country, introduced a new open market data pack for its subscribers in Karnataka which offers 1GB of 4G/3G data at just Rs. 48 with one-day validity. Previously, Vodafone customers had to recharge with Rs. 99 to get 1GB data for 2 days. But now, you get 1GB of 4G data at almost half of the original price.
In addition to above plan, the telco has rolled out another data pack which, again will offer 1GB of 4G/3G data but with 5-day validity. Of course, you’ll have to pay slightly more, i.e., Rs. 99 to get the offer. What this essentially means is that RC99 plan still provides the same amount of 4G/3G data, but you get 3 days extra validity which can come in quite handy if you are the traveling kind.
Once you have exhausted the 1GB data limit, standard browsing rates, i.e., 4paise/10KB will be applied. In case, you already have other 2G/3G data pack running in your account the data will be overridden. Meaning, you’ll get the combined benefits.
Do make a note that this is an open market offer, which means all the prepaid Vodafone subscribers in Karnataka will be able to enjoy the benefits of RC99 and RC48. The offer is available in all modes (E-Top, Web, USSD, and CRM mode) of recharge. To avail it, you can simply dial *444*99# (USSD code) from your smartphone or recharge through the nearest retailer.
