Vodafone Idea Announces Strategic Partnership With ZEE5 to Offer Content for Subscribers on OTT Apps

With the increasing importance of content-based offerings in the telecom industry, the telcos are not shying away from partnering up with broadcasters to launch new services for the customers and to expand their content portfolio. Post its merger, Vodafone Idea has forged many content partnerships with major platforms in the country, on the same lines, the telecom operator has announced yet another strategic alliance with ZEE5 under which it will offer exclusive ZEE5 content to its subscribers. Zee Entertainment Enterprises Limited (ZEEL) announced that its app ZEE5, is the fastest growing OTT platform in the country right now and it also said that thanks to this partnership between Vodafone Idea and ZEE5, now subscribers of Vodafone and Idea would be able to access content on Vodafone Play as well as Idea Movies & TV app.

Full Range of ZEE5 Content Now Available for Vodafone Idea Subscribers

The company announced that customers of Vodafone Idea will now be able to enjoy the complete range of content being provided by ZEE5 thereby providing a seamless viewing experience which will be accessible on multiple devices. The companies also emphasised the fact that the partnership between the two market leaders will be beneficial for the ecosystem as well as it will drive the growth of video-based content in small cities. The ZEE5 content will be available across 12 languages like English, Hindi, Bengali, Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Marathi, Oriya, Bhojpuri, Gujarati & Punjabi across genres like Kids content, Cineplays, Live TV and Health and Lifestyle content. Vodafone customers will have to download the Vodafone Play application while Idea Cellular users can install Idea Movies & TV from the App Store for free to enjoy the ZEE5 content.
