Vodafone Idea Partners Up With SonyLIV to Bring More than 1,000 Premium Movies and TV Shows for Subscribers

Vodafone Idea has made another strategic move in the content segment thus strengthening its position in the industry further by announcing a new partnership with SonyLIV. Notably, SonyLIV is a premium video on demand service by the famous broadcaster of India, Sony Networks India Private Limited. The application will provide multi-screen entertainment to the users. As part of this partnership, subscribers of Vodafone Idea will be able to use exclusive digital content in Hindi and English. For the consumers of the telco, this content will be available on the Vodafone Play application or on the Idea Movies and TV app, where they will be able to stream their favourite shows, movies and web series for no extra cost.




Premium Content from SonyLIV Now Accessible to Vodafone Idea Users

Vodafone Idea has been strengthening its position in the content department by forging new partnerships with broadcasters and content providers like these. The main driving factor behind the growing rise of on-demand video based content and OTT applications has been due to the affordable data prices and significant growth in the online viewing audience. In this regard, the partnership with SonyLIV will be a new and significant addition to Vodafone Idea’s existing massive content library which will be refreshed with premium content across many genres.

SonyLIV to Add 1,000 New Movies and Many TV Shows in Hindi and English

As part of this new SonyLIV partnership, the Vodafone Idea apps will get 1,000 new movies in addition to recently announced 14 original shows, 100+ Short format shows, top-rated shows from Sony Entertainment Channel and Sab TV for the customers of Vodafone Idea. Some of the top shows and movies will make their way to the Vodafone Idea apps like - The Kapil Sharma Show, Vighnaharta Ganesh, Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah, Yeh Un Dinon Ki Baat Hai, Crime Patrol dial 100, Crime Patrol Satark, Baahubali 1 & 2, Piku, PK, Queen, Azhar, 3 Idiots and many others.

Users will also find no lack of English content from SonyLIV as there will be titles like - The Good Doctor, Counterpart, Damages, and Snatch among others. Adding onto the line-up is the Lionsgate Library with shows like Power, White Queen and Houdini to name a few.
