Vodafone Idea Increases Prepaid Plan Prices: FUP Limit on Off-Net Calls, 2 Annual Plans and More

Vodafone Idea Limited becomes the first operator to launch new prepaid tariff plans with increased prices. As it promised a few days ago, Vodafone Idea has hiked the prepaid tariff prices and they now start at Rs 19. While Reliance Jio started charging for non-Jio voice calls, Vodafone Idea has set a FUP limit for voice calls which will be made to other networks. As part of this revision, Vodafone Idea now has two yearly plans with 365 days validity, three prepaid plans with 84 days validity, four plans with 28 days validity and two Combo plans which ship with talk time, data and rate cutter benefits. There are also four First Recharge plans along with a Rs 19 Unlimited Sachet pack. All in all, the price hike seems to be a reasonable one, but again, the FUP limit on non-Vodafone Idea numbers is something which will not go well with the consumers. The new plans will be effective from December 3, 2019.

Vodafone Idea Combo Vouchers Start at Rs 49

Firstly, let’s begin with the Combo Vouchers unveiled by Vodafone Idea today. The company seems to have removed the All Rounder packs and introduced two Combo Vouchers of Rs 49 and Rs 79. These two vouchers serve the same All Rounder prepaid plans purpose. The Rs 49 Combo Voucher ships with Rs 38 talk time, 100MB data and the voice calls will be charged at 2.5 paise per second. On the other hand, the Rs 79 Combo Voucher offers Rs 64 talk time, 200MB of data and all the calls will be charged at one paise per second. Both the plans ship with 28 days validity. That said, Vodafone Idea may also offer other Combo Vouchers which the company did not reveal in the press release we received today.
